At the end of the day, fall is a time for fashion. September through to November is the time for the fashion lovers of the world to squeeze in as many fall-weather-permitting outfits as we can before it gets too cold for slinky scarves and miniskirts.

So as we shift our wardrobes, the fall magazine covers are delivered to our feeds and our doorsteps. The two of us DM them to each other faster than you can imagine and we present our thoughts with you here.

In the past few weeks, we have been presented with many killer covers. Most notably, we would like to thank this month’s stylists and creative directors (and Beyoncé!) for feeding us with eyegasm-worthy colours and styling. This month has taught us that you simply can’t go wrong with a good colour scheme and a good blonde moment.

Vogue US - Billie Eilish

Liam: These colours are EVERYTHING, they complement her so well. She looks phenomenal— skin, eyes, hair, fit; 10s across the board. This is one of my favs of the year, she really might be the greatest!

Gillian: If there was a colour scheme for my life, this would be it. Butter yellow has been said to be a major colour this fall, and if this doesn’t have you convinced I don’t know what will. Stylist, IB Kamara and Photographer, Mikael Jansson clearly work impeccably together because the next cover on this list is also done by the two of them. If you thought it couldn’t get better than this…

Vogue France - Anok Yai

Gillian: This might be one of the best of the year. @ideservecouture made a reel on this cover and summed it up by saying “10s 10s 10s across the board.” A high-fashion Studio 54-esque aesthetic plus Anok Yai, who is the model of our time, is the ultimate formula for a perfect cover.

Liam: Rich colours always get me, but paired with Anok’s striking radiance… I’m in love. I could stare at this cover for hours.

Playboy - Victoria Monet

Liam: When it comes to being a cover girl, this girl never misses! Since the release of her debut album Jaguar II, Victoria has stunningly graced the covers Variety, Galore, and Dazed (just to name a few!) and she serves every time. This Playboy cover is no exception— she was made for this!

Gillian: I’m not sure what I love more, this photoshoot or the thought of Liam going to stores asking for Playboy.

Liam: I thought they got rid of all the boobs!

British Vogue - Florence Pugh

Gillian: Ok, so the butter yellow moment is confirmed and I will now be looking for butter yellow clothing to go with my pink and blue wardrobe.

Liam: I’m unsure what to call her hair, but I love it. The buttery yellow and soft pink are to die for. I need more!

Gillian: I just looked up the hair stylist and he’s one of Sabrina Carpenter’s many tour stylists. It all makes sense.

Interview - Jennifer Lopez

Liam: Say what you want about JLO, but the woman knows how to serve! Her work may be lacking, but she always knows how to work the camera— look at that mug!

Gillian: Agreed. There’s something so satisfying about this entire composition. Nothing else to say!
